FAQ for Solar Panel Cleaning

Do I need to be home for the cleaning?

No, as we do not need to enter your home. We can complete the cleaning and inspection without you being there provided that you do not live in a gated community or have security gates.

Do I need to turn my panels off for the cleaning?

No, this is not necessary. In fact, it is kind of fun to watch your output increase as we clean them. We will include your before and after inverter readings in our report.

Why should I have my panels cleaned?

You are losing money when your panels are dirty because the dirt is blocking the sun. Global standards recommend regular cleanings at least once a year!

How do I pay my bill?

If you are home during the appointment you can pay with cash, credit card, debit card or check. If you are not, we will email you your invoice along with your inspection report and colour photos of your system prior to us leaving your home. You can pay with a bank transfer, call in with your credit card details, PayPal or you can mail us a check.

Can I hose my panels down?

No, this is a very common mistake. Please do not do this as you will be permanently damaging your panels by adding mineral deposits to the glass.

What safety certifications do you have?

At Crystal Clear Solar, all our employees are certified to work at heights, occupational first aid trained and we also carry a licence to operate elevated work platforms over 11M

Will the cleaning void my warranty?

Not at all! In fact, some warranties require regular cleaning.

When can I schedule an appointment?

After you get your quote, we will schedule the most convenient times for you based on our work load.

How much insurance do you carry?

Crystal Clear Solar is insured for $10,000,000 .

What areas do you cover?

We will clean residential solar systems in all of the Brisbane region as far north as Glass House Mountains and south to the Gold Coast. For large commercial and industrial systems, we will cover all of South East Queensland and into northern NSW
